Allen Annis

Allen Donald Annis was born July 2, 1939, in Custer, S.D., to Glen and Ruth (Korthus) Annis. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge in 1961. 

After a long career as an attorney in Southern California, Allen retired and returned to the Black Hills of South Dakota with the love of his life, Jeanette (Cherpeski) Annis. 

Allen, of Hot Springs, S.D., died Jan. 8, 2020, at the VA Medical Center in Hot Springs. He was 80.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette, in 2008.

Allen is survived by his son, Barry, of California; stepson, Trevor Yehle, of Hot Springs; stepdaughter, Cherish (Mike) Baker, of Custer; brother, Dale Annis, of California; and sister, Elaine Morgan, of California.

Per Allen’s wishes, no services will be held.
