COVID-19 school update

According to Hill City School superintendent Blake Gardner, as of Sept. 24, there was one elementary school student and one high school student with active COVID-19 cases. They are required to isolate 10 days, according to the S.D. Dept. of Health regulations. 
There were also two elementary, two middle school and one high school student who had close contact with someone with COVID-19 They are required to quarantine f72 hours. They are encouraged to stay home longer if they are even minimally ill and monitor symptoms for 10 days. 
There are two elementary school students who have completed a 10-day isolation.
The percentage of students and staff with active COVID-19 cases is .3 percent.
