Douglas Majewski

Douglas Majewski was born Sept. 27, 1948, in N.J., to Henry and Kathryn Majewski.
Doug loved to live as a free spirit, riding his motorcycle and partying with friends until the end. Doug cherished the years he spent living in Custer, S.D., where he owned a saw mill and a gold mine, worked on Crazy Horse Memorial, tended bar and wrote and played music—his lifelong passion.
The songs he wrote over his lifetime, like “New Jersey Cowboy” and “Pocket Full of Viagra” would often reflect his humor, which could be infectious.
After his time in South Dakota Doug moved to Pennsylvania, then settled in Ewing, N.J., 25 years ago. Through these years, he was never afraid of hard work.
Doug used his natural skills as a craftsman to construct and restore buildings, many of them of his own custom design. Yet, he would always find time to reminisce about the adventures he had in his 1968 Shelby convertible and piloting hot air balloons, things that further reflected his free spirit.
As he would sign his letters—“Peace and Happiness.”
Doug died Jan. 20, 2022 in Ewing. He was 73.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, Henry and Kathryn Majewski; and nephew, Rider.
Doug is survived by his son, Lucas (Kate Marshall) Hart of Port Hadlock, Wash., sister, Paula (Jack Lunt) Majewski of Bulls Gap, Tenn.; and his beloved companion dog, Marcie.
