Hill City Evergreen Garden Club members, volunteers and entrants are busy completing their tasks and exhibits to meet their garden show’s Saturday, July 23, deadline. The theme for this year’s event, “A Fantasy of Florals,” is increasing the creative interest of past entrants and attracted new entrants as well.
Businesses, clubs and organizations are being encouraged to create a floral entry that depicts their mission or theme and join in the competition with the public exhibitors.
Everyone, not just proficient gardeners, is welcome to participate. Children are strongly encouraged to enter exhibits. There is plenty to enjoy at the free, public show with special activities for the children, a raffle that benefits the Boys and Girls Club and refreshments.
The Flower Show takes place at the Hill City Boys and Girls Club auditorium.  Exhibits will be taken from 8-10 a.m. with judging starting at 10 a.m. The show is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
