Graduation Saturday

This Saturday, May 22, 65 Custer High School seniors will receive their high school diplomas at the school’s commencement exercises.
After last year’s graduation was postponed and held outdoors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s ceremony returns to the familar setting of the Armory, with the ceremony set to begin at 2 p.m.
Graduating senior Heidi Moore will serve as master of ceremonies, and the class will be welcomed by superintendent Mark Naugle. Student apeakers will be class valedictorian Tim Johnson and salutatorian Nicole Johnson.
After special music, chosen speakers will be CHS English teacher Cherri Block and CHS history teacher Paul Kelley. They will be followed by the senior slideshow and announcement of honors by principal Tobey Cass. That will be followed by the presentation of diplomas.
Class officers for the Custer High School Class of 2021 are president Kaitlyn Spring, vice president Dustyn Fish, secretary Eli Steele and representative Goldie Whitaker.
Class song is “Dancing in the Moonlight” by King Harvest. Class colors are purple, gold and white, and class flower is snapdragon. The class motto is “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose” by Dr. Suess.
