A mighty little treasure

Despite its proximity to the highway, Little Falls offers unsurpassed seclusion and tranquility, especially when you have it to yourself.
The trail to Little Falls can be easily navigated by most people, with just a tiny decline on a short rocky section. The rest of the trail is flat and well-defined.
The creek meanders alongside the trail, creating a beautiful audio soundtrack to your walk.
Along the way there are a few trails beckoning you to dip into the creek.
You will also see the remnants of gold claims and evidence of panning operations.
The hike itself takes less than 20 minutes to reach the true hidden gem—the pool created by the little falls.
The rocks are not subtle, nor is the sound of the rushing water. Yet one can easily wade or swim or float aimlessly in the giant pool.
It is the perfect spot for families who are looking to cool down on a hot summer day. Small children can dip their toes in while adults can venture further.
Dogs love it, too.
While a visit in summer is superb, fall is another favorite time to venture in. The colors and light tones will not disappoint.
As always, please limit what you post on social media about all of our hidden gems, so they can continue to remain our hidden gems.
