The Pringle Poacher Association invites the public to their fundraising party this Saturday, Aug. 27, at Pringle’s Hitchrail Bar and Restaurant. All of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Pringle Volunteer Fire Department.
Arranging the event for the Pringle Poachers, Chris Morgan said the fundraiser begins at 1 p.m. and is a family-friendly event with games for children and grownups. With activities like corn hole, poker, horseshoes and piñatas, “it should be a pretty good time,” Morgan said.
Each game at the fundraiser includes a prize giveaway where the Pringle Poachers will award several engraved guns. A premium prize is the 44 lever-action rifle being raffled for $20 a ticket. Throughout the day, there will also be a running auction for about 20 other items, including valuable firearms.
The day will continue with a feast at 5:30 p.m. of pig roast, brisket, side salads and desserts.
The fundraiser event ends with Dakota Country Band playing live from 8 p.m. to last call.
The Pringle Poacher Association first established this fundraiser a couple of decades ago and all of this weekend’s contributions go toward Pringle’s volunteer firehouse’s goals, firetruck expenses and rescue work here in Custer County.
