Suspicious fires under investigation
A series of suspicious fires in the Pringle and Argyle area are under investigation by local authorities.
Custer County Sheriff’s office Lt. Jeff McGraw said there have been several suspicious fires over the past few weeks, including one Sept. 20 at the intersection of Carroll Creek and Lime Kiln roads, which burned roughly a tenth of an acre.
Around that same time, the wooden portapotties at the Pringle Cemetery were burned to the ground, and there were other suspicious fires on Lime Kiln Road.
Last Saturday a fire was started in a garage of a home on Burlington Street in Pringle. No one was injured in the fire, and the garage was attached to a home that is not occupied full time.
McGraw said the sheriff’s office is looking for the public’s help in the investigation, and anyone who has any information or saw anything suspcious in that area during that time frame is encouraged to call the sheriff’s office at 605-673-8146.
