All Decade Team - Girls Golf

Welcome to the most difficult all-decade team to put together. Girls golf struggled in the last decade, both with numbers and results. The teams were young, inexperienced and, in many cases, had only one or two girls on the team. Coaches were cycled through and the program was pretty down. Having said that, the girls who did go out deserve to be recognized, so I was able to patch a team together. New coach Haley Uphoff, a former Wildcat golfer, has the team on the upswing in both results and numbers, so the team for the next decade will undoubtedly be much stronger, provided we are all still here to do another all-decade team in 2030. It will be here before you know it, right?

Kassidy Adam - Class of 2018 - Adam was the best golfer for the Wildcats in the last decade if you’re judging by results. She placed in the top 20 in the region four times, including a 10th-place finish her senior year. She placed in the top 20 in the conference meet twice, as well, including 13th her senior year. Her scores and finishes improved throughout her high school career.

Marlee Schneider - 2019 - Schneider, who was also on the all-decade volleyball team, finished up her high school career at Rapid City Stevens, but still did enough to warrant a spot on this team. In her time as a Wildcat golfer she twice placed in the top 20 at the region meet.

Taylor Kuhn (2011), Rachel Petik (2014) and Rachel Jensen (2020)- These three didn’t have quite the postseason accolades as the other two, but all three were among the top golfers on the team during their time as Wildcats, with some state tournament qualifications sprinkled in as well. Petik and her family moved away after I believe her freshman year, or she likely would have had more postseason placings as the years went by.
