The Hill City High Schoool Rangers track team took advantage of the West River Last Chance Track and Field meet at the South Dakota School of Mines O’Harra Stadium Tuesday.
For many athletes, it was a final opportunity before the state meet to improve seedings, secure favorable lanes and build momentum going into the final stretch of the season.
Two champions emerged on the boys side—Tate Grabow in the 800 meter with a time of 1:55.19, along with Brensen Veneklasen who ran his personal best (PR) time in the 300 meter hurdles with a 40.75.
