Biden is just a typical politician
We were afraid what would happen to our country if, by some kind of miracle, Joe Biden was ever elected president. He and his socialist friends Bernie Sanders and Barack Obama would make sure he started unraveling everything good that Donald Trump had done for our country the past four years. Trump tried to run the country like a business, while Biden is running it like a typical politician who has been in Washington, D.C. for the past 47 years. Imagine how out of touch one can become by being in a bubble for 47 years!
Let’s begin with educating our children. Biden said he would get students back in school as soon as he was elected. Instead, he has done nothing to open up all public school classrooms and has been hesitant to go against the powerful teachers union by ordering schools to open and teachers to get back to work. After all, these unions are super big donors to the Democrat party.
Cases in point are public schools in California and Illinois. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is finally managing to get the city’s public school teachers back to work. She has given them ultimatum after ultimatum, but teachers refused to budge unless it was 100 percent safe, when nothing is 100 percent safe. Amazing that private, charter and Catholic schools have had teachers and students back in classrooms for months in Chicago.
We can be extremely thankful for the dedicated administration and staff we have teaching in classrooms in the Custer School District. This has been partially made possible because Gov. Kristi Noem never shut down our state. Businesses have been open and we are free to exercise our God-given rights. There simply is no justification for treating healthy people as if they were sick.
Biden’s energy policy, or lack thereof, is steering our country toward the radical green-energy agenda by banning further oil drilling and fracking on federal lands and cancelling the Keystone XL Pipeline, and possibly others. These former highly-skilled oil and pipeline workers have been advised to get jobs building solar panels by John Kerry, Biden’s new climate czar. Great advice for these highly-specialized jobs paying well into six figures annually. Solar and wind make up a small 1-3 percent of all U.S. energy, according to a report published last month by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Coal, petroleum and natural gas account for the source of practically all the rest of U.S. energy. Gasoline and heating oil prices are bound to go up as our country becomes energy dependent once again. This raises national security concerns. Our country runs on oil.
Trump secured our southern border and was in the process of building a wall there, which was halted by Biden in one of his many executive orders. Naturally there are caravans of migrants from Central America heading our way for all the freebies Biden has promised. His goal is to flood border states like Arizona and Texas with illegals who can be turned into Democrat voters, thereby shifting power to Democrats forever in these states.
Allegedly aiding in this endeavor is the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) which reportedly has teamed up with Mexican cartels to help fuel the drug trade into this country, according to investigative reporter Lara Logan. The CCP, which manufactures or provides ingredients for so many drugs in the world, provides the cartels with illegal drugs which they can smuggle into our country, thereby causing us to fight the plague of the social ills our citizens suffer from this illicit drug use, not to mention the law enforcement problems it creates.
Oh, yes, these legislators have to get to work this week to try to impeach Trump a second time under a single charge that will never stick. If the phone call to the Ukranian president didn’t work, maybe the idea he somehow incited a riot Jan. 6 will do it. Don’t count on it. There is FBI evidence that a group of insurrectionists planned the attack on the Capitol well in advance of Jan. 6. This will be another colossal waste of time.
Welcome to the unifying Biden administration.
Note: The cancel culture struck at the Chronicle a month ago when Facebook temporarily knocked our editorial off its platform because it didn’t meet its “community guidelines,” until we appealed and were reinstated. The printed word may be the only medium to read our editorials or columns in the future. Big tech liberal owners and editors are the culprits. Never in our wildest dreams did we ever believe this would happen in the United States of America. Welcome to the Brave New World!
