Dana Harbour

Dana Marie Scott Harbour was born in Hot Springs, S.D., March 11, 1960 to Jimmy and Colleen Scott weighing only three pounds, one ounce.  She had a rough start but after blood transfusions she survived and thrived. Dana was a happy child and always had a smile on her face and a bounce in her step.
Dana attended school in Custer, S.D., and graduated from Custer High School in 1978. She went to college in Sioux Falls, S.D., to become a court stenographer.  After college she went to work in Missoula, Mont. Her next move was to Arizona where she found work and her future husband.
She married Dean Harbour in 1987. To this union three children were born. Dana was a great mother and loved her family with all of her heart. One of her greatest joys was when her granddaughter Lexi was born.
Dana passed away Nov.  26, 2020, in Chandler Ariz.  She had been very sick for several months fighting a non-COVID-related illness.  She was so strong and fought until her little body could fight no longer. She was 60 years old.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy; and daughter, Chelsea.
Dana is survived by her husband, Dean; son, Jarrod (Erin); daughter, Kara;  granddaughter, Lexi; son-in –law, Jeremy; mother, Colleen; brother, Brad (Julie); sister, Tammy (Jim); and numerous nephews, aunts, cousins and in-laws.  
There will be a memorial gathering of family and friends to celebrate Dana’s life Dec. 12 in Arizona. A private family gathering will also be held in Custer at a later time.
