Denise Etzkorn

Denise Juel Etzkorn was born Feb. 13, 1951. She was a  friend to all and a beacon for Hill City, S.D.
Denise was born in Illinois to Leonard and Augusta Meyers. She eventually moved to the Black Hills of South Dakota and spent the rest of her years in Hill City. Denise wore many hats from waitress to  fossil preparer and art council member to resort manager.
She and passed away unexpectedly June 28 from cancer. She was 70.
Denise was a loving mother and a huge part of the community. She was known as “Momma E” to most. Denise made friends everywhere she went and had an infectious laugh. She will be missed by many.
Denise is survived by her children, R.J. Inskeep, Joe Etzkorn, Tony Etzkorn, and Anna Etzkorn; grandchildren, Remington Inskeep, Anna Inskeep, Alex Inskeep, Tienna Etzkorn, Ryder Etzkorn, Lydia Etzkorn, Kiya Rhodd, Felix Rhodd, Diesel Rhodd and Korbyn Etzkorn.
There will be a celebration of life at Hill City Senior Center Wednesday, July 7 from 4-8 p.m.
