Gene Loghry
Gene “Genie” Rae Loghry was born June 6, 1950.
Genie grew up in the Midwest and spent her retirement years near her daughter in Coolidge, Ariz.
She loved life and lived in the moment. Genie delighted in silly jokes and had sparkling eyes and an infectious laugh. When she travelled, she liked to “sneaky snake,” to drive unknown roads and byways. Every trip was an adventure, whether going across the country or to the grocery store.
Genie had unshakable faith, which she was never afraid to share with anyone. She was a prayer warrior. We can think of no greater happiness for her than being with Jesus and shouting His praises. She will be greatly missed until we meet her there on Heaven’s golden streets.
Genie passed away Dec. 27, 2024. She was 74.
She ws preceded in death by her parents, Vernice Waller and David Gorsuch; and her infant son, Romalyn Sogge.
Genie is survived by her children, Carey (Tammy) Sogge and Dhanie Buchholz; grandchildren, Sheridan Sogge and Theodore Sogge; and siblings, Duane (Joanne) Gorsuch, Mike (Connie) Gorsuch, Robin Whipple, Christy Hashisaki, David (Tammy) Gorsuch, Jeff (Pam) Gorsuch, Brian Gorsuch, Art (Geri) Waller and James Waller.
