Harold Flack
Harold F. Flack was born July 13, 1938, in Milbank, S.D., to Wesley W. Flack and Harmina H. Broekema-Flack.
Harold married his love Arlene M. Carroll Jan. 1, 1957, in Custer, S.D. They just celebrated their 68th anniversary! To this marriage, three children were born: Arlene Elaine, Howard Floyd and Alan Wesley.
Harold grew up quickly helping support his parents, brothers and sisters by driving truck and hauling a variety of materials. He continued this trade after marriage, until he became an Ironworker, working on missile sites, buildings, dams and bridges. He traveled often for work to support his family.
In 1981, he opened A&H Truck Salvage in Rapid City, S.D. He operated this business with his sons for nearly 44 years.
Harold was a generous man, often helping out family members. We will miss his long good-byes, referred to as the Flack good-bye.
Harold, of Rapid City, passed away Jan. 24, 2025, at Monument Health Hospital. He was 86.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Patsy, Delores, Sharon and Alice; and best friend/brother Lloyd Flack.
