I’m happy to intern at the Chronicle

My name is Reace Guy. I’m a Senior at Custer High School and a newly embraced intern at the Custer County Chronicle.
I was given the opportunity to become an intern and get experience in a field of my choosing; I chose journalism. So, what better place than the Chronicle?
I am a person who loves to dabble in everything artsy and academic; I love researching, reading, drawing, learning languages and most of all writing. I have always loved writing, purely for its versatility and friendly communities. After attending Girls’ State, writer’s workshops, and becoming the President of Custer High School’s yearbook, I have truly found my calling in journalism.
After graduation I hope to attend Temple University or New York University and major in journalism and Chinese language.
Once I finish college, I plan on becoming a traveling journalist overseas, to achieve my second dream of teaching English as a second language on the side. I’m happy to be a new member of the Custer Chronicle’s team and I will work my hardest to be of use to them.
In return, I hope to gain self-enhancing knowledge and experience within the journalism atmosphere.
