Susan Conlon

Susan “Suzy” Conlon passed into eternal life July 15, 2026. She was born Aug. 31, 1957, in Tracy, Minn., to Curt and Betty Halverson. 
Suzy attended Custer (S.D.) High School, graduating in 1975, and later attended National College of Business in Rapid City, S.D. 
On Dec. 3, 1976, she married Donnie Conlon, and together they were blessed with two daughters, Becky (Dan) Rose and Andrea (Jeremy) Spaans. Suzy and Donnie were blessed with five grandchildren: Dillon Rose (Lainee), Logan Rose, Taycen Barnes, Kadence Spaans and Tucker Spaans. They were also blessed with two great-granddaughters, Raegyn and Kamrynn.
Suzy spent much of her life as a rancher’s wife in Pringle, S.D., while also serving as the Pringle Postmaster. Later, she and Donnie made their home in Rapid City, S.D.
She is survived by her daughters, Becky Rose and Andrea Spaans; her sisters, Rita Frantz, Kathy Winkler, and Patty Caster; and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donnie; her parents, Curt and Betty Halverson; as well as Donnie’s parents, Francis and Grace Conlon.
A private family viewing was held Friday, July 17, at 4 p.m. at Kirk Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 25, at 2 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Rapid City.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
