Ronning, Wiles honored

A pair of local realtors were recently recognized by the Mount Rushmore Area Association of REALTORS® and its annual awards celebration in Deadwood. These annual awards honor excellence in professionalism, community service and dedication to the real estate industry.
The Good Neighbor Award was presented to Custer’s Andrea Ronning of Aspen+Pine Realty, with the award recognizing years of service that reflect an unwavering commitment to her community and the real estate profession.
Ronning is an active member of the Habitat for Humanity Custer Committee, where she has helped lead fundraising efforts and supported the organization’s work to provide homes for families in the Custer community. She is also a member of P.E.O. International, where she has served in various leadership roles. She also supports arts and cultural enrichment in the Black Hills through the Theatre 605 Black Hills Playhouse Leadership Circle.
In addition, Ronning has played an instrumental role in the continued growth and success of Southern Black Hills REALTORS® for Kids, helping the organization expand its impact and provide assistance to children and families throughout the Southern Black Hills.
“Her dedication to service exemplifies the spirit of the Good Neighbor Award and the positive difference REALTORS® make in the communities they serve,” the award press release said.
The REALTOR® of the Year Award was presented to Crystal Wiles, Battle Creek Agency in Hermosa, recognizing more than two decades of leadership, professionalism, advocacy, service and dedication to the REALTOR® profession.
A member of the Association since 2005, she has served in nearly every leadership capacity, including secretary, local director, state director, vice president, president and immediate past president. Beyond the titles she has held, she has consistently stepped forward during some of the most significant periods of change in the association’s history.
Her service extends well beyond the local level. She has represented members through South Dakota REALTORS®, serving as a State Director and on committees including education, state convention, member services, RPAC, issues mobilization and government affairs. Nationally, she has represented the REALTOR® profession through NAR conferences, legislative meetings in Washington, D.C., Leadership Conference, Calls for Action and continued investment in RPAC.
“A broker/owner, business owner, mentor, advocate, and volunteer, she has built her career on integrity, professionalism, service, and relationships that span generations,” the press release states. “The REALTOR® of the Year Award recognizes not simply the accomplishments of one year, but a legacy of showing up. Through leadership transitions, mergers, challenges, new initiatives, and an ever-changing real estate industry, Crystal has continued to serve her fellow REALTORS®, her profession, and her community.”
