Poor three-point shooting and costly turnovers at key moments were trouble for the Custer High School girls basketball team Feb. 20 at Hart Ranch, as the Wildcats lost 51-41 to Rapid City Christian in the first round of Region 8A play.
“The real difference in the game was three-pointers,” head coach Tayton Vincent said, pointing out Custer went 2-19 from deep while the comets connected on seven of 23 attempts. Custer made more two-point baskets, and made more free throws.
